Frequently asked questions
Does this bag go free with Air France?
Yes, in a compact version. Air France accepts a personal item measuring 40 x 30 x 15 cm maximum under the seat in front of you: that is exactly the size of this bag.
Can we travel with the bag in the extended version?
Not as a free item, because it is then 25 cm thick. On the other hand, at 40 x 30 x 25 cm, it respects the Air France cabin baggage of 55 x 35 x 25 cm, if your ticket includes it.
Is it accepted at Lufthansa?
Not as a free item: Lufthansa limits personal items to 10 cm thick. However, it passes as cabin baggage (55 x 40 x 23 cm) if your price includes it.
Will the new European rules change anything?
In June 2026, the European Parliament and member states reached a provisional agreement: a personal item under the seat and a small cabin bag of 7 kg would be included in the standard fare. These rules will not apply until the end of 2027 at the earliest; until then, it's the dimensions in the table above that matter.
